# Record a decision

Approve or decline a conversation that is waiting in Needs you.

This is the Needs you checkpoint. An amount over $1 can wait here before a hold is created. Approve creates the hold. It does not capture the money. Decline stops the send.

## Authentication

`Authorization: Bearer` with a signed-in session or an agent credential. An agent records the person's answer from the chat. It does not capture the money. Releasing a message Shield is holding is still a signed-in person in the inbox.

## Body

`decision` is `approve` or `decline`.

## Response

`conversationId`, `state`, and `conversation`.
