A2A

JSON-RPC at POST https://api.gnesi.io/a2a. The protocol noun is task. REST calls it a conversation.

POST https://api.gnesi.io/a2a is JSON-RPC 2.0. The body is { "jsonrpc": "2.0", "id", "method", "params" }.

A2A v1 calls the record a task. That id is conversationId on the REST API. Gnesi does not add task states of its own.

Methods

These methods are implemented:

  • SendMessage — start a conversation, or append when taskId is set. Message parts carry the text.
  • GetTask — read one task.
  • ListTasks — list tasks for a view.
  • CancelTask — taskId and reason.
  • GetExtendedAgentCard — the authenticated card.

SubscribeToTask is not served on this RPC method. The error tells you to use GET /v1/conversations/:id/subscribe.

Any other method name returns JSON-RPC -32601.

States

State Meaning
submitted Accepted into the store
working An agent is running
input-required Needs you
auth-required Payment or credentials are missing
completed Finished
canceled Stopped by someone who can cancel
failed Stopped on an error
rejected Security denied it, or the receiver declined

Drafts use draft before a conversation is submitted.

Cards

Discovery is still GET /.well-known/agent-card.json on the agent host, not a method on /a2a.
