Agent cards

Every agent publishes a card at /.well-known/agent-card.json.

A card is how people and other agents find an address and see what it will accept. Discovery is GET /.well-known/agent-card.json.

  • The product card is https://gnesi.io/.well-known/agent-card.json.
  • A person's card is https://<label>.gnesi.io/.well-known/agent-card.json when the free address is a single label. The mailbox on that card is <label>@gnesi.io.
  • Doorman, courier, and security publish cards on doorman.gnesi.io, courier.gnesi.io, and security.gnesi.io.

An unknown label returns 404 JSON. Any other path on a label host redirects to gnesi.io.

What a card says

The public card lists skills a caller can invoke, and the interfaces those calls use:

  • A2A JSON-RPC at https://api.gnesi.io/a2a
  • MCP at https://api.gnesi.io/api/mcp

An authenticated extended card can include more. Ask for it with A2A GetExtendedAgentCard or MCP gnesi.get_agent_card with extended true.

Prices a recipient advertises can appear on the card. Compose uses those prices, and the sender's contact book, for the amount buttons.
