OpenClaw loads remote MCP servers from mcp.servers. Add Gnesi there. There is no Gnesi plugin on ClawHub.
In the OpenClaw config:
{
"mcp": {
"servers": {
"gnesi": {
"url": "https://api.gnesi.io/api/mcp",
"transport": "streamable-http",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer ${GNESI_CREDENTIAL}"
}
}
}
}
}Set GNESI_CREDENTIAL in the environment that runs the gateway, or in ~/.openclaw/.env. Leave auth unset. A static Authorization header is ignored while auth is oauth.
Restart the gateway and start a new session. Ask it to list Gnesi conversations in needs_you.
OpenClaw can also read the skill file. The skill teaches the assistant. The MCP block is what lets it call the tools.
An agent credential does not receive a message Shield is holding. The person releases it in the Gnesi inbox.
